Early Gen-Xer… Ate mostly stir fry and rarely did anything that wasn't work or at home for 6 months while buying our first house and paying off student debts within 2 years of graduation. Bought my first new car when I was in high school, worked 2 jobs to pay it off in 4 years, then kept if for 10 years.
Can anyone, like a beginner, use this strategy? I only began trading recently. Since then, I've been losing. I'm holding right now, but in six weeks, I was 70%down. A loss of more than $51,000 Been constantly looking for ways to grow back up
I dont think people realise how HARD it is to buy and hold. Its not buy and hold when you want to buy a fancy car only. Its buy and hold through an economic crisis that can take 10 or even 20 years to recover. Its buy and hold when the news is screaming SELL SELL SELL. People were already selling when Trump started the whole tariff fiasco. Just wait LOL.
Can you tell what camera you used so that we may not use it for terrible auto focus? Lol or fix the settings and higher the damn aperture at least f8 god damn
This also means they rode out the financial crisis of 2008 when many lost half their investments. So for people saying it’s because they’re boomers…no it’s because they rode out the market and kept slowly investing.
We did all of these things but dont have much put away yet. The difference is I stayed home to raise and homeschool our 4 kids and my husband works. If you want what they have, you both have to work. It wasn't worth it for us to sacrifice our kids over it
I always tell.my daighter that in those days it was not common to go out for lunch or dinner..even coffee as it is now. Money in a family was not spent there. In cases not even holidays…you played with your neighbours….for enteryainment you bought a TV…that was the one expense…no Netflix or cable…cinema was every now and then.like theater….with blockbuster we statted sprnding more on entertainment and Mc Do…the rest is history

These guys made a lot of money..more than average..my friends make 50..they will work forever
Again, these people started in the 90s and both had high paying careers. Things were much more affordable in the 90s and 2000s.

I’ve read lots of books on building wealth, but ‘The Secret Side of Wealth’ literally changed my life. So underrated
‘Dont wanna answer that’ is a yes everyone knows that
Buy and hold this guy says. Totally an ape bro 😎
Where does this dude find all these similar people- strategic steady savers yes, but otherwise boring!
It’s cool though, to each his/her own.
Millionaire over 34 years is maybe $5,000 a year. It’s not that much.

It doesn’t matter what title or how much you make. Start early and let time do its thing. Even teachers have become millionaires.
He is rocking a +$10,000 Rolex Submariner. I have a similar one. Love that watch. Probably bought it to mark a milestone.
She holds her bag like my mum. So nobody snatches it. 😀👍
Bro is jacked
What's your height?
Slow and steady, buy and hold. Not sexy answers but correct answer.

Congrats on marrying the old boomer🤣🤣
They all weirdly have the same story. Save / frugal, ETFs –> retire early
I hope the people in the comments understand that 34 years ago was in 1991, not the boomer range of 1970s and 80s.
