Give her credit…she could have used it to do other things or invest it in something else. But she did the right thing by paying off her debt.
I think she should celebrate her wins, but some of y'all never had hard parents and it shows. Caleb shows positive reinforcements, but he really wants to stress she needs to understand that if she doesn't have big months he doesn't want her to fall back into the old habits.
I understand where he is coming from. She is definitely better than people who have debt and get more money only to blow that money as well. However, it wasn’t a matter of self reflection and cutting oneself down on discipline on one’s existing salary.
The hope is she keeps making this good money and DOES NOT upgrade her lifestyle and blows through this money as well. Having said that I think she’s got a good chance because she’s aware of what he’s telling her and she seems self determined to not fall into this ever again. Good girl!
