ANOTHER TRUMP HATER SO CALLED EXPERT .HAVE A LOOK AT TODAYS MARKETS AND THE COUNTRIES LINING UP FOR A DEAL.IT'S SIMPLE HIT THEM WITH A HIGH TARRIF THEN NEGOTIATE TILL THEY ARE AGREEABLE AND IN THE MEANTIME GET THEIR RATES DOWN ON ANERICAN GOODS ….
THEY DON'T HAVE THE CARDS. And Trump has just imposed economic sanctions on the USA from within. No one is going to call Trump, everyone else is going to get on with trading with everyone else.
It seems like the only card Trump has is victimhood and I don't think people want to deal with that. Maybe some butt kissers but people are over it… Especially after JD Vance did his alienation tour. We at least used to pretend to care about other people. Now we are just known for greed and mafiosos
Trade deficits are bad. Trump could have handled it better. Start with China and then go after top 5 countries with highest deficit. China subsidizes manufacturing.
What if? What if China does not play ball? To pay for the Tariffs it will raise praises – basically passing on the tariff to the consumer. So a Nike shoe that used to cost 200 will now cost 300! And if the consumer says let me buy a lesser priced one, well, that comes from China as well and so now a 50 dollar shoe will cost 100! All prices will go up! So China takes a beating because they will sell less shoes but the consumer will end up paying the price of high priced goods
With the threat of war, supply chain interruptions and economic crisis, I've never in my 40 years felt more like disaster is about to strike. I'm as prepared as I can be and that's all I can control
Internally, consumers have to pay for the inflation (tariffs impost on imports.). Externally, US offended a whole list of Allies … forget about the so call strategic enemies (they might be the ones laughing now).
Ya right, US government earning from all the inflated tariffs and US citizens are the ones going to pay for it. Other countries might be impacted, but end of the day, US and its citizens are the ones paying for it. Thanks Trump!!~
I think one of the biggest misconceptions is that Trump's tariffs only affect big businesses. It's not that simple—these tariffs can trickle down to everyday consumers, impacting the prices of goods we buy regularly. I made the mistake of assuming tariffs were just a "big business problem" until I noticed my grocery bill creeping up.
I hate to say it out loud, but trump is gonna see that no one is caving to his tariffs threats so rather than back off them and admit he was wrong, he'll just impose martial law with the insurrectionist act. And the crazy part is he'll get richer from shorting the economy along with his billionaire buddies while we all suffer.
Tariffs are very good for US jobs and of course, very bad for finance that use the cheapest countries to produce and then sell products much too expensive to generate profits. So good for middle class, bad for highest class.
Many American companies were not selling healthy stuff (ex Coca-Cola, Kellogg), not good for the environment (ex Exxon), had predatory practices (all the tech industry), poor quality (ex car brand), too political (all Hollywood)… As an engineer, American stuff (tools and machinery) used to be over designed, rough but affordable and built to last. That's no longer the case. You pay for a name, it's unreliable, it's all to make a buck on you. Buy buy bye
What happens when a nation put sweeping Tariffs on nations that supply your nation with oil? It is simple they trade it elsewhere and that goes for all essential goods.

Just remember all these experts didnt see 2008 coming and had no problem with all the money printing over the past 5 years propping up this fake economy. Silent.
The longer this goes on , the more likely the EU,Canada,UK and other commonwealth countries are to build a new trading bloc , if that happens the global economy will be a very different place for the US
This just in a few days later, there are reports Bessen wants to step down, he realized Trump’s brain is no better than Biden’s, MAGA thinks his boisterously loud rants are the same thing as intellect, lol
Ce qu'il faut comprendre est que même si Trump lève les taxes sur les produits entrant aux USA, le sentiment que nous avons des USA pas fiables et surtout menés par un Président qui n'a de respect que pour Putin restera.
I lived through 2008 and the 2020 collapse. If these tariffs stick….going to be a lot worse. You can’t force other countries to buy our stuff. We don’t have a competitive advantage in manufacturing and never will. Labor is too high here. We’re absolutely fcked. I think the market hasn’t priced in the idea that tariffs will stick.
Trump doesn't have the element of surprise that he had during his first term. Other countries know how to deal with him now. Being erratic is not a viable long-term strategy and other countries are just going to bleed him out now because if they cave first, then it will only embolden him to do it more in the future. Why should anyone buy American if the President is just gonna slap tariffs on a whim anyway?
Trump's TARIFF PLAN all along was to help Russia! Trump's TARIFFS make perfect sense for Putin. The PLAN is to weaken the U.S., EU and NATO, thereby helping Putin.
The ALIENATION Trump has engendered with the WORLD, will NOT be smoothed over anytime soon. It will take years AFTER Trump is gone, not even a little bit while he is President.
Companies are NOT going to relocate in the U.S. unless they are GUARANTEED that the TARIFFS are staying longer than it takes for them to RECOUP the EXPENSE. That seems to be a remote possibility with the time to RECOUP limited to 1 election cycle, about 3 years and 9 months now!

The US has become univestable, they can't even keep their trade policies straight.

People realized dealing with Trump is pointless. He signed US MCA then broke it himself. He's not someone you can make a deal with.

this guy speaks sense …the EU and China – in particular – are way too big and economically powerful to buckle under a despot
Yes it does
massive tariffs get many countries in Europe or north America & Asia strike back, it is sure that market arrow down

Time will tell.

Apparently Yahoo Finance's crystal ball is broken.

The trust is gone and it won’t be back until long after the American Empire has declined to a profound level of irrelevance.
He's already wrong. 50 countries contacted Trump already and Israel is in Washington finalizing agreement on trade.

A huge part of that market dip was foreign investors yanking their money out of everything.
But he's off golfing on taxpayer dollar. Yeah, sure he cares about us, riiiight. Impeach him.

Tuck Frump and his little dog Musko-lini, too.😡
Get ready for substantial increase in prices in the USA. The largest sales tax ever in the history of the USA.
Smart guy I`m sure – I wonder how many in the finansiel sector voted for Harris.
Anyone who actually believes that Trump is very smart is actually declaring how stupid they are.
Says yahoo, the failed internet company! What in irony
It’s fantastic that 90% of investors can’t beat a simple index. Ok, let’s ignore that, let’s buy this…
The Great Reset is here.

Canadiano here. It’s over as far as Canadians are concerned. We’re not going back to the status quo and numerous countries are also pulling away.

The countries all seen this movie last time Trump was in office. They are all better prepared this time around.

Buy American tech stocks..The retaliations are still happening….Maybe the tax cut can offset somewhat but there is more pain coming
