it would work before now in this economy no guaranty your money will grow or even keep up with inflation… i think best way to go is real estate cashflow and may be dividend etfs
I am currently holding north of $250,000 in Cash in bank making me around 5.15% currently. I was advised to invest in INDEX FUNDS, are there better strategy to get high returns from stocks?
I wanted to save as much as possible to create generational wealth, but apparently kids and grandchildren are amazing at spending your money after you are gone. All this to say, I'm saving for retirement but I'm going to be spending all of it. Dying with less than $10,000 to my name is the plan :p
I can't help but feel lucky that I started investing at 40 because many people think it's too late to build wealth. Policymakers seem out of touch with the struggles of late starters, who are trying to catch up on their financial goals. It's time for them to consider the real-life challenges faced by those who begin investing later in life.
Of course you can. It's not a question you just do it! It doesn't matter when just do it! Instead of coming here and leaving with a positive note I see so many people sharing how worried they are in their situations well guess what not to be rude or anything but a lot of us are going through things and at the end of the day we're here now so let's move forward today is a new day each day is a new day so let's do what we can and do our best at it and that's it
Currently make about 250 K a year a Roth IRA does not work for me work for me. Any other advice other than 401(k) I’m currently putting .23 thousand a year in my 401(k) unfortunately I didn’t start till I was 40 but not 43. Any other options I really like to put closer to 40 K away.
I'm hoping to retire next year at 55. My goal next year is to be more serious and consistent with my investments I've been investing since I was 22. 2025 is going to be more serous for me investing consistently for the long term. starting to save for a house down payment. I want to invest more than $105k, but I'm not sure on how to mitigate risk
I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Suzanne.
Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.
I started at 47. It was scary to realise I was not preparing for retirement but I’m happy with the steps I’m taking now. Investing should be taught in schools as part of financial education .
I am awfully late in investing at 33 with just about $80,000 in savings as i have never invested in the stock market. I’m worried about missing out on compound interest and want to make smart choices for my future. If I invest aggressively, can I still retire with at least $1 million by age 65?
You are gonna be fine. I started at 46. Max Roth contribution every year, 25k annual into 401k, simple IRA 3k annually that I can use to stuff my Roth if I don't have cash for my January 1st max contribution. High yield savings account for fast cash. Etrade for single stocks (my play money). Live frugal, dig out your grandparents depression recipes, go minimalist. I compete with 3 old high school friends that I review with.
It wasn't till I was about 47 when I could really start saving for retirement. Investing is not the issue, it is about your mindset and how you manage your money. I was fortunate to have no debt for a very long time but was living check to check. You can do it too.
What if you reach 50 and find out that you have nothing saved and $650,000 of debt between house, cars and credit cards? I will have to work until age 70.
i started in 2017 when i was 30 but due to poor decisions, i lost it all last 2024. so now i'm starting again. it's too frustrating to be honest. that 7 years of hard work saving and investing gone and it'll take me double that time to recover what i lost due to the current economic situation
Getting financial advice by someone who is not a financial advisor is like doing plumbing without a plumber. It seems easy and maybe it will work for 1 or 2 years then some shit will start to appear because the job is not well done. Not everyone can do their own investement or have to look at it everyday. And financial advidor are not only doing investement and their advice (most of the time) are worth the fee, if this one is not too high. I wouldnt plan my retirement on youtube with ppl that its not their job like i wouldnt build a house with some ppl they claim they can do it themself out of their butt lol.
“You will need to save 25K per year for $25 years in order for you to live comfortably at $65”.
“How do I save 25k when i only make 60k a year”
I make less than $20k a year.. I already cut out all non essential expenses and have no social life. I really don’t know how else I’d make enough money to afford to make investments unless I get luckier and manage to get an actual career.
Very informative, thanks! I have a question not directly related to this video: I have the OKX Wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (job priority warm lab border boil monkey manage palace fiber weird ask). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Great explanation! Just a question on a different topic: I have the SafePal Browser Extension Wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (job priority warm lab border boil monkey manage palace fiber weird ask). How do I transfer them to Binance?
i am really fcuked , 63 and just started investing … with nothing saved . Work on commissions in real estate , damn , without any commissions in a while, I am dumb and dumber , damn
No drama! Humans aren't born to live forever, some died young some died old. We all should live the best we can, with more or less mistakes in life. Start organize your life, go and find financial advise even if above 40's, 50's etc. Just dont cross your arms because "is too late". Possible we aren't going to be rich but at least we will go to the end of life knowing you haver done the best you could with your knowledge. 😇🤑😇

Doesn't matter, they're going to steal it anyway.

I've been investing in stock since I was 40 , it's only been 2 years , i'm still learning! Wish my parents got me into it when I was younger
The intro is just fenomenal 😂❤️
Watching in my 40s… And only just starting investing I feel so behind!

And what if you’re a minimum wage worker?
I'm 47, hardly anything saved. Anything I had I used to help my mom battle cancer and illness for 8 years.
My retirement plan is to die early. Hooray for the USA, the best country on earth, right!?

Do you think that VUSXX is as safe as a HYSA as an emergency fund?

The lottery is a tax on the stupid.
What if I have a pension ?
Thank you. Too many videos assume you’ve already been saving up to this point
