I keep my partners to the same standard as myself, and this means in particular not obese and mentally healthy. Politics is negotiable, except if they cant agree to disagree, because then its just never gonna work. For women I also excuse not being self confident.
When you decide you are ready for marriage and all that entails, it’s not about finding the right person. It’s about being the right person. Period. If you haven’t defined define what you want AND what you have to offer other than occasion sex and dinner on the table, you are not yet the right person. So many women not wanting to contribute to the financial side of marriage is disturbing. What are they afraid of; failure, rejection, less than ideal working environment, competition, being told what to do? A woman who is not at least willing to work is a non-starter. She is not a partner. She is a pending liability. Woman are rewarded when they get married AND when they divorce. Most men lose in both cases. If you want a pre-nup and she refuses, dump her immediately.
