have one more doubt and need some guidance. If we buy physical gold, we need to pay 3% GST, and when returning it, the jewellery shop will take it back with a difference of around a thousand. In the case of silver, GST is also 3%, and the jewellery shop deducts 2% when taking it back. With ETFs, we don’t pay GST, but we do need to pay tax on the gains. So I am trying to understand which option is the best.
If we purchase, gold and silver in bars and coins, as an investment.. Where making charges is not at all included.. Is it a safe investment..
