….. This airplane food is better than what's available in many US airports on the ground.. This makes me think of our golden age of flying before it was about cramming in as many people possible, and giving them a bag of peanuts on a six hour flight.
let's be clear, America is known for not having services quality, not having cooking manner, not having style…for the Americans are costumers only pay-check receiver
Well, President Kennedy was the architect behind wanting to deregulate airlines, and Carter signed it when he was in office. Before that, airlines competed with service, afterward airlines competed with price. But since they slashed prices it opened the door to all Americans and it was no longer a luxury to fly. The Qatari government is able to do this because they pay for it in their national wealth that they got from oil. I wouldn't mind America doing this again, but it would be a form of a tax or higher flight prices. So, if you don't want to be taxed or pay higher then just be happy with your peanuts. I'm curious why they even mentioned America in this piece, seems like unnecessary shade considering the history behind it.
Why has US Airlines stopped preparing their meals ? U N I O N S and L O B B Y I S T S aka M O B. Most travelers want to pay ony $65.00 per flight…so, you get what you pay for. Qatar is high end, and high end travelers, or those who saved a long time to travel this way.
I Hit $26,120 today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last week . I started with 3k last week now I just hit $26,120…
I don't know what this stuff is, but it looks NOTHING like the dreadful, soggy wraps and sandwiches that Qatar used to provide me – endlessly – on my long haul flights in economy. As a result, I don't fly with them anymore.
As a cabin crew member for QR, here's the truth: if you want extra, don’t be shy to ask. But let’s be real—why should you have to ask for more just to avoid wastage? It’s almost as if the airline wants to limit what you get so they can save on costs, even though they have plenty in the galley. It’s not about generosity, it’s about cutting corners
I would prefer an airline fly me from one point to the next for the cheapest price. I dont need to eat on the plane. I'll bring my own food. Just charge me for the flight, nothing else. I dont need a screen with movies. I have my phone, a book, etc. Just make it as economical as possible. Its not an experience, it's a means of travel. Get me there safely for a reasonable price. That's all that matters.

This is incredible.
Umm – Carter was not involved in the 1970'S.
200,000 meals a day from scratch? I can barely handle cooking dinner for two! Time to respect the culinary giants who feed the skies with precision. 🍽
Yeah US airlines cutting the food on domestic flights was a huge loss.
Jollygood! ❤
Love this ❤
Wow

Qatar airways might have the best inflight service but they have the worst customer service I ever had. I got scammed for about 1200 dollars

That’s why no matter what flight I’m going on I make food or buy food before I go to the airport.
