The Dow Jones Industrial Average and other major indexes continued to improve right up until the close Thursday amid surprise results in two separate jobs reports. Meanwhile, a recent initial public offering fell hard while Broadcom made a move ahead of its earnings report on the stock market today. Blue chips on the Dow increased their gain to 0.8%, or 350 points, despite a sell-off in Salesforce after the company reported its earnings results.
