Airline loyalty programs can come with generous perks, from upgrades on seats to early boarding and more.

Typically, depending on the program, you can earn points based on your spending, including spending on co-branded credit cards, or can earn points based on miles flown.

JetBlue, like many airlines, has its own loyalty system, which was overhauled in 2023. The company refers to its different levels of loyalty rewards as Mosaic Tiers, and there are four of them.

Members generally have to earn tiles to qualify for different status levels, with one tile earned for each $100 spent on a JetBlue flight and a tile also earnable for each $1,000 spent on a JetBlue credit card.

However, JetBlue is giving you an opportunity to bypass this whole spending system and to earn status within its loyalty program, not just for the year, but for a whopping 25 years. You just have to complete the “25 for 25” challenge.

Here’s what this means for flyers, along with some tips on how you can take on the challenge and try to earn yourself a spot within JetBlue’s loyalty tiers for the next two-and-a-half decades.

JetBlue is mkaing a special offer to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

JetBlue's '25 for 25′ challenge offers flyers an impressive opportunity to earn

JetBlue’s challenge is being offered in honor of the airline’s 25th anniversary. Here’s how the challenge works:

  • If you fly to 15 destinations during the challenge period, you’ll earn 150,000 bonus TrueBlue points.
  • If you fly to 20 destinations, you’ll earn 350,000 TrueBlue points.
  • If you take 25 trips to eligible airports during the challenge period, you receive the full amount of bonus points, and you also get 25 years of Mosaic 1 status.

That means you get to be a member of the loyalty program for over two decades, giving you the chance at elite status that comes with all sorts of bonus perks, including:

  • Two free checked bags
  • The opportunity to earn triple bonus points plus base JetBlue points when traveling
  • Free beer, wine, and liquor
  • Same-day flight switches
  • Preferred core seating
  • Priority security access
  • A dedicated check-in and dedicated phone support
  • Avis Preferred Plus Status with the car rental partner

These are some pretty impressive perks that can make all future trips you take on JetBlue for the next 25 years both more affordable and more pleasant.

Make sure to understand JetBlue's fine print for the challenge

Of course, you need to be aware of some fine print associated with the challenge.

Specifically:

  • Qualifying travel must take place between June 25 and December 31, 2025.
  • You must have a valid TrueBlue number that you attach to your booking before the flight departs.
  • You only get credit for travel on JetBlue-operated flights.
  • Blue Basic fares do not count towards your required flights, nor do codeshares, interlines, or partner-operated bookings.
  • Airports count individually, even when a city has multiple airports, so for example, you can get credit for three separate flights if you fly into New York’s JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark.
  • Connecting flights are included, as are stopover cities, even if you spend very little time on the ground.

Those who already fly frequently will likely be excited about this opportunity to earn big rewards for trips that they are planning to take in the coming months.

More on travel:

  • Delta Air Lines makes a baggage change that travelers will like
  • United Airlines passenger incident triggers quick response

For its part, JetBlue is excited about making this offer available to customers, with Loyalty and Personalization VP Ed Pouthier commenting, “With ‘25 for 25,’ we’re celebrating a milestone and inviting our most loyal customers to join the party in a big way. JetBlue’s award-winning TrueBlue loyalty program is all about making travel more meaningful and memorable, and this promotion is a thank-you to the customers who’ve helped us reach 25 years of incredible growth.”
