All great about the international institutions. When they were set up 80 years ago, the world looked quite different to today's. Since then, those wonderful institutions, UN, WHO, WTO, etc. have been taken over by malevolant foreign actors, as subsequent US administrations were too weak to do anything about it. I’ve heard so many talks on geopolitics but first time hearing this gentleman speak. He is truly insightful. Even his response to a seemingly simple question about what it means to be an American is so true. Many people have never thought twice about the values of this country, and they are Americans just because they happen to here. I wish schools would teach the deep meaning of the Pledge instead of just reciting the words every morning.

What a joy to listen to someone who doesn't have an axe to grind but gives his reasonably objective analysis of what is happening in the country and world. Wonderful insights about American history. And I have no idea whether he loves or hates Trump. I agree with him that the future belongs to the U.S., China and India. I would add Israel, and I believe India, rather than China, will overcome China unless China reforms their top down, centralized system. Yes, China's GDP is more than four times that of India today, but look back 30 years and China was a basket case, so economies can grow quickly. As to the Islamic world, I think that depends on how quickly alternative energy sources are developed. I'm not talking about Solar and Wind which I think are dead ends, but rather nuclear fusion and geothermal (e.g., Quaise Energy). If those alternatives come on line and in the next 50 years radically reduce our use of fossil fuels for energy, the Islamic world will become much poorer and, as a result, much more radical.
As to warfare, I think drones are a flash in the pan. We have new energy based weapons using lasers and EMP pulses (e.g., Epirus Leonidas) that will make drones almost completely useless within 10 years. Unfortunately I don't believe you can stop a missile which is using the kinetic energy of liftoff to reach it's target with an EMP pulse (though you can knock out it's targeting software). However, laser technology may be able to take missiles out at some point.
