There were over 1500 coper wire thefts in the city of LA alone in 2025, and that was just in the first 6 months. AT&T just had 32 main cables cut by copper thief's and it put thousands of phones out of service including 911. It's going to cost $2.5 million dollars just to replace the coper wire that was stollen from the Sixth Street Bridge. 38,000 feet of wire was supposedly yanked out of the bridge by thief's. We cant even keep the systems we have now working until we get crime under control. Crime on top and crime from bottom.
