Statistics show the 4th of July is the most popular holiday for grilling. It's also one of the biggest travel times of the year.
Whether you're hitting the road or hosting a backyard barbecue, there's a very real chance you'll forget something you need and have to run to the store to get it.

The big question, though, is what store?
If you live in one of the nine states with Wegmans supermarkets, including New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Delaware, and Connecticut, you may be wondering if you'll be able to visit your local Wegmans on the Independence Day Holiday.
So, is Wegmans closed for the 4th of July? Here's what you need to know.
Wegman's Independence Day Hours
If you're a huge Wegmans fan, like most people who have access to this beloved regional supermarket chain, you will be very happy to know that the 4th of July won't interfere with your ability to shop there.
In fact, Wegmans has confirmed it will be open during normal business hours on Independence Day.

This isn't a surprise, since while many grocery stores, including Wegmans, close for some of the major holidays such as Christmas, it's not as common for grocery chains to shut their doors on Independence Day.
Don't hesitate to head to Wegmans if you need anything for the 4th of July
With Wegmans confirmed to be open, there's no reason for you not to visit on the upcoming holiday if you have forgotten a key grocery staple, if you have run out of drinks before the big day, or if you need just about anything else Wegmans has on offer.
