Restaurant Brands International's (QSR) Burger King is known for predicting food trends and releasing innovative menu items before they go viral.
However, the fast-food chain has recently faced concerning declines, with system-wide sales down 1.7% and comparable sales decreasing 1.3% during the first quarter of fiscal 2025.
To reverse those negative numbers, Burger King is using its forecasting expertise and creativity to experiment with its menu by developing new offerings that explore current trends more deeply.

There's currently a chicken craze dominating the food market, with restaurant and fast-food chains prioritizing releasing more chicken-based menu items to boost sales.
Although this might be an emerging trend that many companies are just now catching on to, Burger King has invested in developing chicken-based products long before the category went viral.
The chain released Chicken Fries in 2005 as a limited-time offering, which quickly became a fan favorite.
